Gotta have a Visa!

General visa requirements for entering Indonesia ( Bali ):
  1.  Original passport must be submitted and be valid for more than six months for a (single entry). **The Embassy will not accept damaged passport.
  2. Two recent photographs staple/glue one photograph to the visa application form in the box
  3. Complete round trip airline electronic ticket, leaving Canada to and from Indonesia and to another country
  4. The visa payment is paid in the form of a Money order.  A single entry: $55.00 and multiple-entries: $120.00
  5. Photocopy of other country’s valid passport. (if applicable)
  6. Also;
    Ø  At least one blank page must be available for the placement of the Indonesian visa.
    Ø  It is recommended that Canadians obtain a visa before travelling to Indonesia however a 30 day tourist visa can be purchased upon arrival.
    Ø  A valid Canadian passport is required for Canadians intending to visit Indonesia
    Ø   A tourist card will be issued that is valid for a 30- or 60-day stay according to your visa, when in Bali.

     v  There is a high threat of terrorism throughout Indonesia and there have been reported terrorist attacks on many tourists/foreigners, in Bali. 


     v  Consumption of a local brewed alcoholic beverage, referred to as the “Arak”, has lead to methanol poisoned and has cause the death of several tourists. Therefore foreigners/tourists should be cautious while consuming beverages/meals from local restaurants.

    v Few incidents that involve injuries and deaths of foreigners are the following; series of explosions in October 2005 at Kuta Square and at Jimbaran Bay on the resort island, and the October 2002 bombings.

     Places/Locations that a tourist should be ware and more cautious at all times includes; High-profile Western facilities or businesses and places frequented by foreigners. These following types of locations are considered as potential terrorist targets.
